Horseback riding can be a fun and rewarding experience that teaches responsibility and boosts self-esteem. We can tailor a program to fit your needs, whether you are a serious competitor or a recreational rider looking to improve your skills. Ages of our riders range from three to 73, so it’s never too early or late to make your dream of riding a horse come true.

  • How to safely conduct yourself around horses
  • How to ride English or Western, beginner to advanced
  • The responsibilities of taking care of a horse
  • How to properly identify horse equipment and its care
  • Horsemanship and sportsmanship
  • Experience the world of competitive horse showing

…and so much more!

Rates & Scheduling

Half hour private lesson —
Lessons may be paid for by check or cash at the conclusion of your lesson, or packages may be purchased in advance.

Lessons are scheduled on an individual basis by contacting Shanna at 260-396-2640, or by emailing. We require 24 hour notice of cancellation by phone or voicemail.

Facility, Horses and Attire

Our lessons run year-round in our heated riding arena or the outdoor arena and trails, and we have safe and very special teaching horses that have many years of experience. All beginning lessons are private, one-on-one instruction usually lasting a half hour. Session lengths are determined on an individual basis depending on age and skill. Safety is the most important thing, so proper attire is required; long pants and hard-soled shoes with a heel for your first few lessons will work fine, and safety helmets are provided by the farm. From there, we will make proper riding pants and boots available to you for purchase.

In addition to horseback riding and driving instruction, Indian Creek Farm also offers:

Summer Horse Camps
Adult Riding Clinics
Western Dressage Clinics
Special Events

We encourage horse enthusiasts both young and old to join us in the learning experience!
